At Poonam Creations, we've spent 18+ years refining a process that's personal, collaborative, and designed to make the whole experience feel effortless for you.
Fill out the inquiry form on our website with your event date, venue, and a brief idea of what you're envisioning. Poonam personally reviews every inquiry and responds within 48 hours to confirm availability and get the conversation started.
Once we've confirmed availability, Poonam will connect with you by phone or in person at her Grayslake studio. This is where she gets to know your style, your priorities, your color palette, and the overall atmosphere you want to create — for each event in your celebration.
Based on your consultation, Poonam builds a tailored proposal — specific to your events, your venue, and your vision. Every proposal is unique. There are no set packages; everything is designed around you.
Once you're ready to move forward, we finalize the contract and secure your date. From there, Poonam works closely with you to refine every design detail — fabrics, florals, lighting, layouts — so nothing is left to chance.
4–6 weeks before your event, we review and lock in all details with your venue. Logistics are coordinated, timelines are confirmed, and Poonam's team prepares everything for a flawless setup day.
Poonam and her team arrive early, handle every aspect of setup, and stay through the event to ensure everything runs perfectly. All you have to do is walk in and enjoy the moment you've been imagining.
Peak season weekends (May–October) book quickly — often 12–18 months in advance. If your date is coming up, reach out as soon as possible and we'll let you know availability. Off-peak and weekday dates typically have more flexibility.
No — every event is custom. Poonam builds each proposal based on your specific events, venue, guest count, and vision. This ensures you're getting exactly what you need, not a generic package that may not fit.
Poonam Creations is based in Grayslake, Illinois and serves the greater Chicagoland area, including venues across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Reach out if your venue is outside this area — we're happy to discuss travel options.
